He is by Calypso Classic out of an AWHA-registered thoroughbred mare. Calypso Classic combines the best of the Hannoverian and Holsteiner lines ? he is by Calypso II, who is by the champion performance stallion Cor de la Bryere, who has stamped his descendants with his exceptional bascule and jumping ability.
Cor de la Bryere also features in the bloodlines of many of the world?s top dressage horses, and Calypso Classic?s dam is by the Hannoverian Werther from a mare of the legendary Absatz, bringing top quality dressage line into alignment with the jumping lines of the sire.
Calypso Classic has competed in Australia at national level in dressage, winning from preliminary to medium, and has demonstrated enormous scope in his showjumping. He is the sire of super dressage horses like Classico, champion FEI level dressage horse with Glennis Barrey.
