Buffy is by Shylock, who is in turn by Salute. Shylock has a great temperament and has had a late start to his showjumping career, however, he is now competing with John Cooper and even previously was showing some great results from a very limited amount of outings.
Shylock only has a few of his progeny out competing so far, the most notable being Jem Valentino, who was placed 4th in the 4yr old class at DWTS in December 2004, and was the highest placed of any progeny by a Southern Hemisphere-based stallion.
Jem Valentino scored 9 and 9.5 for his trot and canter from the international judge. The full brother to Jem Valentino was recently purchased by Murray Lamperd at the age of 2 months, such is his belief in the breed.
The dam of Final Lyric is by Triple Knight who is also the sire of Money Talks, who has represented Australia on many occasions, but most notably at the Sydney Olympics in 2000.
Final Lyric has shown that she has a great technique over a fence, however, due to a lack of time she has now joined the broodmare herd where she is producing champions of the future like Buffy!
