Lot 5 Hoc's Seger

Chestnut gelding 22/10/05

The sire of Hoc?s Seger is Shylock, who is in turn by Salute. Shylock possesses the most amazing temperament imaginable in a stallion and has had a late start to his showjumping career, however he is now competing with John Cooper and even previously was showing great results from limited outings.

Jem Valentino, the oldest of Shylock?s progeny and one of only a few on the ground out there competing, was the highest-placed Australian-bred horse in the 4yo at DWTS 2004, placing 4th overall, with 9 for his trot and 9.5 for his canter, behind three youngsters by overseas stallions.

The dam of Hoc?s Seger is a wonderfully bred thoroughbred mare that offers a combination of almost all the great thoroughbred jumping lines throughout her pedigree. She has only had the chance to be a broodmare, however her full sister has been campaigned to a small degree with us and showed the most amazing technique over a fence.

Seger is a competition star bred to perform, now just waiting in the wings to go on stage.
