2006 April - Lot 24 - Hoc's Delta

Chestnut filly 13/11/04

The grand dam of Hoc?s Delta was Avenir, a grey mare that went from D Grade to A Grade showjumping inside 18 months with Jeff Otton.

Avenir was by Kumali, also the sire of Peppermint Grove, twice winner of team gold for Australia in three-day eventing at the Olympics.

The dam Hoc?s Delta, Hoc?s Fleetwood, is by Salute, who is best known to many as the sire of Stirling Stilton, along with a string other dressage horses, but who is also the sire of many successful showjumpers and eventers including Sydney Lights, Mr Shirvington, Staccato, Stirling Sprite and more.

The sire of Hoc?s Delta, Demetrius, is by Don Ramiro out of Sayonara. He was initially kept by Heath as a dressage prospect and has an unbelievable trot and canter but suffered an injury just after breaking and was sold on.

Now back in work, he is starting to show amazing talent again both on the flat and over jumps. Sayonara is out of Gold Song who is the dam of Australian showjumping stallion Daley K.?
