Julius is a lovely character really responding to interaction with people. He is compact with a wonderful high set to his neck and shoulder. He also has a quiet air of self-confidence.
He is quite charismatic especially when he is moving.
Julius is by Jive Magic who is Rozzie Ryan?s special horse on a program for the Beijing Olympics. Jive has enormous expansion in his paves and incredible collection.
On his dam?s side, Julius is out of Shirley who is a full sister to Shylock, a stallion standing with Bryce and Paula Hocking and the sire of Hoc?s Seclusion (Lot 15).
Shirley is by Salute (see Jamboree). Shirley is out of La Bella, by Ludendorf, himself an advanced eventer and Grand Prix dressage horse. La Bella was the dam of T.L. Ramedon who did some spectacular FEI work with Rachel Sanna before being sold for a large sum.
Shirley is also the full sister to Sonnet ? sold to the US where he is now a Grand Prix horse, and Shakespeare, who sold at auction for $27,000 as a 3yo and is remembered as being very special.
Julius is bred in the blue from a family of top performers.
